I have been part of the Coalition since it began in 2001 and am pleased with the way it has developed over the past four years. Each Village organization has implemented the Six Pillars of Charactersm in its own way. Many of our schools also have active CHARACTER COUNTS!sm programs that use the language of the Six Pillars to teach and reward good behavior. In 2006 the Coalition is focusing on honoring People of the Pillars in Bartlett. This recognition began in 2002 as an annual ceremony. This year we are selecting one individual a month to be honored. We invite the community to participate in this process. There are People of the Pillars nomination forms and boxes at the Village Hall, Library, and Community Center. The form is also available on the website. Please nominate worthy individuals for his honor.
